Is it just me or is American Idol bad this year?

I watched the preliminaries and saw so many good people but it seems like they picked all Carrie Underwood wannabes. There isn't the variety like there was last year. Ihaven't really been watching it because there is always 2 other things that I would rather watch but I watch it online and it just isn't good.

I watched it off and on when they were picking. Will start to watch it now they are down to 10. Will let you know what I think. Have last weeks DVR'd.
